Yarrow Achillea Millefoleum

A truly powerful plant, valuable beyond all comprehension. We absolutely love yarrow. We are not growing an oddly colored cultivated variety. We offer the real white yarrow. The white flowers are bright and happy, they attract people as well as many beneficial insects.

Yarrow is a very strong medicinal plant. Once on a camping trip, a friend cut his palm open with a knife. No bandage could be adhered to his palm easily. I applied a poultice of fresh yarrow. The blood on his hand fizzled like alka-seltzer and the bleeding stopped immediately. After that I have always viewed yarrow differently.

It also makes a wonderful warming tea. The leaves make my mouth tingle. I like to chew on the leaves while working in the garden. I often pack a wad of yarrow under my lip.

Seed packs contain 100 plus seeds. They are a mixture of chaff and very small seeds. Spread into the surface of the soil and keep moist until germination.
