Goumi (eleagnus multiflora) is a remarkable shrub. They are the closest thing to having gummy bears grow on a bush. The flavor resembles Hawaiian punch.

These powerful nitrogen fixing shrubs get about 8 feet high and almost as wide. They are hardy to zone 4, produce loads of nutrient rich berries high in lycopene. Goumis will grow in just about any soil, they do well in full sun or part shade.

Fresh seeds are packed in sand and have never been dried at all. They will have higher germination rates than dried seeds. Goumis need a few months of cold damp conditions to germinate. This can be accomplished in the fridge with a media like sand or planted outside in the fall
