Black raspberry is possibly the best flavored of any berry anywhere. Rubus Occidentalist is a raspberry, not a blackberry.

Red Raspberry Rubus Idaeus Our seed comes from awesome cultivars of red raspberry. The fruits are two to three times bigger than wild ones with every bit as good of flavor if not better. Plants make both a summer and a fall crop.

Growing raspberries from seed is a highly worthwhile endeavor. Currently virtually all raspberries available in the nursery trade are clones developed by universities. Genetic diversity is extremely limited by this practice as is the number of new cultivars.
