Black Currants, ribes nigrum, is a plant we grow abundantly in our gardens and orchards. They are one of the easiest berry bushes to grow and the fruit is excellent. We use it for fresh eating, jams, fruit leather, and juice. Loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and anthocyanins, black currants are a super berry.

Our seed comes from our genetically diverse plantings that we have been working on since 2009. Seeds are packed in damp sand immediately after cleaning from fresh fruit. They are never allowed to dry out, resulting in high germination rates. Plant in summer, fall, or spring. They sprout after stratifying for a few months either in the fridge or outside.
