Bee Balm Monarda Fistulosa

This native bee balm also known as wild bergamot, grows in dry sunny areas. It is extremely drought tolerant, cold hardy, and competitive with grasses and weeds. Beautiful lavender colored flowers appear in late summer and feed many types of pollinators.

Monarda is also a powerfully aromatic herb from the mint family. It has a wide variety of uses ranging from reducing fevers to treating gastric disorders.
